Part-Time Position: Front Desk Administrator for Language Center International, an Intensive English as a Second Language School

Position starts: Immediately. Interviews will be scheduled for qualified applicants.

General Description: A Front Desk Administrator is the first point of contact at Language Center International and is responsible for responding to inquiries and requests. This individual has duties and responsibilities affecting all departments and reports to the Registrar, DSO, and School Director.

Skills/Qualifications: A Front Desk Administrator must possess: very good spoken and written communication skills; the ability to use word processing, database and spreadsheet programs; at least an Associate’s Degree from an accredited, approved institution of higher education; experience in an administrative environment; the ability to multi-task, to work well under time pressure and time deadlines and to learn basic immigration regulations and school procedures quickly. The desire and capability to work with international students is essential.

The responsibilities of the job include, but are not limited to, responding to inquiries, answering the telephone, collecting payments, data-entry, report generation, photocopying, and filing, knowledge of basic regulations for international students or experience in an international student admissions office is a plus but not required. Knowledge of a second language is also helpful but not mandatory.

Benefits include bonuses and participation in the institution’s pension plan upon qualification. No health insurance is provided.

Starting salary is $15,000 (25 hrs per wk) up to$18,000 (29 hrs per wk). Five-day work week, Monday-Friday. Must be available to work Fridays. Salary includes vacation weeks the institution is closed.
